Iconography
Dracula: The use of iconography in this film is through violence which brings out war. Also another significant use of iconography is the cross as its known to help fight vampires and kill them as this is makes them weak and vulnerable so by the director marking the moment of the cross falling we get an impression that this film may be related as a vampire film. Dracula's wife is more weak and ends up killing herself due to the circumstance that of her believing that her husband is dead.
Fright Night:The use of vampire iconography is seen when we see the colour red in the opening which immediately indicates blood. The dark foggy atmosphere which also suggests horror and a time when vampires are more active to do what they want.We also see some kind of statue figure in the neighbor's house which suggests the idea of devil worship or some sort of demonic powers.
